Returns – Dei Gratia Urns

 

At Dei Gratia Urns, we understand that selecting a cremation urn or memorial keepsake is more than just a purchase—it’s a deeply personal decision made during a time of loss. That’s why we stand by our 30-day return policy with compassion and integrity.

If for any reason you’re not fully satisfied with your urn, we’re here to help.


What Items Are Eligible for Return?

We gladly accept returns on most cremation products within 30 days of purchase, as long as they are:

  • Unused and in original condition
  • In original packaging or safely repacked
  • Not custom engraved
  • Not filled or in contact with cremated remains

This applies to many of our popular categories, including:

  • Metal cremation urns
  • Keepsake urns
  • Biodegradable urns
  • Cremation jewelry (unworn and unused)

What Cannot Be Returned?

Because of the personal and hygienic nature of our urns, returns are not accepted for:

  • Urns that have been filled with ashes
  • Items that have been engraved or personalized
  • Products damaged by improper handling or use
  • Products returned after 30 days of purchase
  • Natural variation in color, shape, texture, or finish — especially with handcrafted metal urns or artisan urns

How to Request a Return

We make returns simple and respectful. Here’s how to start:

Once your return is approved, we’ll send you a prepaid return shipping label (note: access to email is required to receive the label).


How to Return Your Urn Safely

  1. Print the return label sent to your email
  2. Pack the urn securely (original packaging is best)
  3. Add sufficient padding to protect from damage
  4. Attach the return label clearly on the package
  5. Drop it off at your nearest shipping center (USPS, UPS, etc.)

Please note: Refunds cannot be processed for returned items damaged during transit due to poor packaging.


When Will I Receive My Refund?

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the approval status.

If approved:

  • Your refund will be issued to the original payment method
  • Refund processing may take 3–7 business days depending on your bank

We appreciate your patience during this process, as each item is carefully inspected to uphold quality and ensure it’s eligible for refund.


Refunds on Engraved Urns

We understand how important personalization is. If you received a custom engraved urn with incorrect spelling or design:

  • If the error is on our part, we will offer a full refund or replacement
  • If the engraving matches the details you submitted, we unfortunately cannot issue a refund

Please double-check spellings, dates, and artwork before confirming your engraving. We do our best to catch mistakes, but accuracy starts with the submitted information.


Exchanges

Received a damaged or defective item? We’ll happily replace it with the same urn or jewelry piece.

Exchanges are available for:

  • Broken, dented, or unusable items upon delivery

However, we cannot exchange urns that exhibit:

  • Natural variations in metal texture, color patterns, or handcrafted finish

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We provide a printable shipping label and deduct that amount from your final refund. Unfortunately, we do not refund original expedited shipping charges.
